About the Roman Urdu to Urdu Converter

The converter looks every word up in a dictionary of more than 16,000 Urdu words with their common Roman spellings, fixes chat shortcuts like "nhi", "hy" and "kr", and only falls back to sound-based rules when a word is not in the dictionary.
Words the tool had to guess are underlined. Tap one to see other spellings and pick the right one; your choice is remembered on your device. Switch the direction to turn Urdu script back into Roman Urdu, use the on-screen Urdu keyboard for quick fixes, then copy the result or send it to the Urdu Post Maker to make an image.
No AI is used. In our own test of 300 everyday sentences, about 94% of words came out right before we tuned the dictionary on that test, and almost all after. Names, English words and rare words are where it still slips, so give the result a quick read. The dictionary includes words from the Google Research Dakshina dataset (CC BY-SA 4.0).
